When a Scout knocks on your door it's a wonderful opportunity for him to experience adventures, learn citizenship, build confidence, develop an understanding of business, acquire good values and have fun! And 70% of your purchase goes to support Scouting right here in the Suwannee River Area Council. Our annual popcorn sale fundraiser takes place in August every year. Individual units set their own goals and keep a portion of the profit from sales. For more information go to

Popcorn Sales
Every August Scouts participate in our Popcorn Sales effort in partnership with Trail's End Popcorn. Scouts raise money for
their own Packs, Troops, Crews, and Posts in the local Suwannee River Area Council. Units keep 35% of their sales. Popcorn sales account for less than 11% of the Suwannee River Area Council's annual income. However, for some units, it's closer to 100% of their income. Popcorn sales teach Scouts how to set and reach goals and relieve some of the cost for uniforms and activity registration fees.
In 2011 Trail's End popcorn has not only improved the quality of their product but also the quantity! Trail's End makes their popcorn products with canola oil so all items have 0 grams of trans fats. Popcorn is a natural whole grain product and 100% cholesterol and sugar free! 2011 is the second year that Trail's End is packaging their products in recyclable bags rather than tins AND filling those bags full so that customers receive more product!
