Get Involved In the Lodge

Semialachee Lodge is YOUR lodge. Every member is a part of it, and every member may and should take part in the administration of the lodge program. Both adults and youth can contribute. The lodge is run by the youth, who are advised by adults.

Do you like creating artistic designs like what you see on patches? Are you interested in training other scouts? Do you like building webpages, writing articles, managing information in a database, or designing fun programs? Would you like to learn and perform Native American-style dances or participate in solemn ceremonies associated with the OA?

All of these options and more are available to any youth member of Semialachee Lodge . The following two sections will help you to link yourself up with the right job for you. Use the Semialachee Want Ads to find out what positions are greatly needed, or look at the committee list to see what committees you can become a part of. An Arrowman may serve on multiple committees. If you are interested in a position offered in the Semialachee Want Ads, or if you would like to join a committee, use the contact information provided to get in touch with the right person to get you started.

Committee List

Below is a list of committees that are provided for either in the rules of the lodge or by necessity. You may choose to be a member of any of these committees. Keep in mind as you read that the members of a committee work as a team; you may not have to perform all of the functions a committee has. For example, a member of the Activities Committee would not be expected to develop the program for a fellowship weekend single-handedly. He might only be responsible for designing the Saturday afternoon activities or finding the key staff such as the Chaplain and Health Officer.
