January 2 - Winter Fellowship and Makeup Ordeal are coming

It's almost time for our next lodge weekend (see event page here). The Winter Fellowship will be held February 10-12 at Wallwood Scout Reservation. A make-up Ordeal will be held alongside the fellowship to accomodate those candidates who didn't make the Fall Ordeal. The weather could be cold, but there will be plenty of food and fun to go around - mark your calendars now! Register today by printing a copy of the registration form and sending it in today! The total cost of the weekend will be $20.00 for members, $51.00 for youth Ordeal candidates (under 21), $53.00 for adult Ordeal candidates (21 and over), and $35.00 for Brotherhood candidates. The extra costs for candidates cover sashes and other materials. Register early to avoid late fees. Look for more information about the Winter Fellowship in your January Quarterly, and in the Lodge Functions section of this website.

January 23 - Youth NOAC Slots Available!

NOAC Chairman Daniel McMillan has announced that slots are still available to youth members (under age 21) for NOAC 2006 (see event page here). Currently, slots are not available for adult members but may become available once more youth register for NOAC. If adult slots become available, an update will be posted on Semialachee.net and sent through the mailing list.

February 15 - Quality Service Rendered at Winter Fellowship

The Winter Fellowship and Makeup Ordeal took place at Wallwood this past weekend (Feb. 10-12). Candidates and members were treated Friday night to a flashback presentation of the 2003 Section Conference, as well as an excellent cracker barrel. Saturday morning was rainy, but it didn't stop Semialachee Arrowmen from providing cheerful service to Wallwood. Candidates and members both worked at Camp Tom Matherly preparing for the installation of a new C.O.P.E. tower. The grey storage building across the road from the new C.O.P.E. area was cleaned as well. Work continued into the afternoon. Several members sealed their membership in the Brotherhood, and seven members were tapped out for the Vigil after dinner. In short, Semialachee saw advancement in all three honors of the Order at this weekend. Congratulations to everyone!

The next lodge event like this will be the Summer Fellowship weekend, also held out at Wallwood. Look for updates soon!
