2020 Fall Programs

UPDATE:  As September 30 approaches, the Council Executive Committee has been reviewing, current conditions and recommendations, as well as plans for certain events and activities.

As always, the safety of our participants and families is key. With update guidance, we’re pleased to share that we will, once again, be scheduling certain events and activities for our scouting families. The Committee is taking a measured approach, but has taken action to begin scheduling activities that cover all aspects of scouting, from Cub Scouts to Venturing!

Please watch for updates and notices on these programs, as they are released.  Links will be added below, as details are released, as well.

Fall Shooting Sports “Camporee” – October 3, 2020

3rd Saturday Wallwood Shooting Sports Program

The shooting ranges at Wallwood BSR will be open on select third Saturdays from September until May.

At this time, due to the suspension of council programs, there are not Shooting Sports days scheduled.  Once we begin scheduling programs, once again, we will post updates on upcoming Shooting Sport Days.

Registration will start at 9:00 am and the ranges will be open at 9:30. The ranges will close at 12:00 for lunch and reopen at 1:00. Ranges will then be open until 3:30.

Scouts will be able to work on partial merit badges or start new ones. For those with complete merit badges recreational shooting is also available.

Each scout will need a completed permission letter to be able to shoot.  They must be signed by the parents.  This is a State of Florida requirement and not subject to exception.

The cost of the event is $8.00 per Scout which is to cover the insurance and ammunition cost. They should have a water bottle and bring a lunch if they plan to spend the day.

Call the Scout Office at 850-576-4146 for any questions.
